We talked to Bea Bongiasca a few months ago in occasion of the launch of her first jewellery collection at 10 Corso Como in Milan.
This time, we found her even more confident in her artistic journey and conscious of the path she wants to take and a talent she knows how to manage with great ability.
Her new collection of only one-of-a-kind pieces, presented last December at Art Basel Miami with the Antonella Villanova Gallery, is all about a meeting between Asian and western cultures, as interpreted by Beatrice who is passionate about Asian culture.
The collection is called “Happy-go-Cola”, which aside from what one may think, actually means “allowing happiness and escape”; Cola (read Kelé) actually means happiness. Hence, the Coca Cola bottle, which is an icon of western consumerism, and money symbols become beautiful with cherries and Kawaii engravings.
It is an original and profound way to find a new expressive style that interprets the relationship between two parallel worlds with grace and playfulness. This one-of-a-kind collection is on sale at the Galleria Villanova in Florence.
